You are the FY1 working in GP.

Mr Julian Sacks has come to GP today complaining of knee pain.

Mr Sacks attended the hospital last week to have investigations performed for his knee pain.

Please perform a knee examination, describe/interpret investigation findings, and give your diagnosis.

The examiner will give you any positive findings after the examination.

Key history findings:

  • Painful right knee
  • Red and swollen
  • Hx of osteoarthritis
  • Primary hyperparathyroidism

Station time: 5 minutes (3.5 minutes examination + 1.5 minutes questions)
